Yoga found Heather Sanderson in 2005 when she first started attending classes to help with health concerns. Since then yoga has taken her on an unexpected, challenging and beloved journey of exploration and transformation!

In 2013 Heather completed Cathy Calderon’s Celebrating the Call. This was a year-long 340-hour Healer training including a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Puerto Rico and Brooklyn.

Trained in Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation and Restorative Yoga with a focus on Tantra philosophy, Heather believes in the power of yoga to help heal physically, emotionally, psychologically, energetically (and more!). Heather is also a Reiki Master and healer. She combines other healing modalities (such as working with energy, Reiki, plants, herbs and principles of neuroscience) within her yoga classes, Reiki, and healing sessions with a focus and interest on belief work and the magic of unfolding.

Heather works as a yoga teacher and healer with the understanding of meeting each person where they are. She believes that, ultimately, the healing comes from within you and she strives to create a safe space full of possibility for students to explore, learn, and find what they need.

Heather offers yoga classes and workshops on Zoom and at Shambhala Yoga & Dance Center in Brooklyn, New York and in Ontario, Canada. She has developed several yoga nidra and meditation albums and you can follow her on Spotify and Apple Music.

She also offers Plant and Herb Workshops, Reiki Sessions, Individual Healing Sessions, Corporate Reiki, Reiki Trainings, and has created and delivered successful leadership development workshops strongly influenced by this work for several corporations.
